Description: This very nice vintage charcoal drawing is from the WPA period, dated 1931 of a farm scene. While it is signed WK, I'm not sure who that person is/was and the relationship of the artist to the escaped prisoners on versa. The origianl clipping was placed back inside the drawing. What is on versa is a copy. Years ago, I purchased this charcoal image of a farm and hung it on my wall. I don't remember where or when I bought it. When I first purchased it I decided to take it to a local framer for acid free matting and backing to preserve the artwork. When I went to pick it up, I was handed the artwork along with newspaper clipping and told "this is a copy of what was found inside and returned to the inside". I was like "what"?... I don't know what the relationship was between the artist, the clipiing and the escaped prisoners. Evidently, someone wanted to conceal something to someone... Itwn height, width and length refer to the fame dimensions. Again! The original clipping was placed back inside the drawing... Please see all images as they are part of the description. Thank you for looking. Please feel free to ask questions. Local pick-up is welcome.I ship insured.
