Description: PRODUCT DETAILS From Department 56's Heritage Village Accessories. * This handpainted porcelain anniversary piece is a replica of an original Bachman's horse-drawn harvest cart from the early 1900's. * At the turn of the century, when Bachman's was still a vegetable farm, squash was a very important crop. * After harvest, the ripe, green squash were loaded onto horse-drawn carts for delivery to local markets. * This cart was ONLY available for purchase during the 1995 Department 56 Bachman's Gathering in Minneapolis, MNB. * During the event, Neilan Lund, the original Department 56 artist, held signing events for this Squash Cart which he created exclusively for the 1995 Gathering. This cart was graciously signed by Mr. Lund. * The same mold was used to produce the New England Village accessory "HARVEST PUMPKIN WAGON". See our eBay store for availability. A very interesting display could be set up by having both of these vegetable carts side-by-side or following each other on the way from the farm to the market. One carrying green squash and the other carrying orange pumpkins. *** ALL Department 56 buildings and accessories FRAGILE. Many buildings have one or more areas of increased fragility, such as signs, lamps, spires, balconies, etc. Please take care to only handle by the solid porcelain sections of the building or accessory. ** We recently received almost the entire Christmas in the City, Alpine Village, North Pole, Disney Parks Village series and other Dept 56 villages from a former dealer and serious collector who took great pride in her collection. We absolutely promise that all buildings and accessories list are in perfect, working condition with all separate attachments included.
