Put the 9V battery in(included).Turn on the power, the power indicator lights(Make sure only 1 light is lighting up on the scale), the instrument starts to warm up, and the instrument can be used after a few seconds(Wait few seconds for the probe to heat up until Lamp on ready OK). 2. Place the bare diamond to be tested into the appropriate recessed hole on the support tray, with the table face up. Those already inlaid do not need to put holes in the tray, you can grab it by hand. 3. Move a few bright LEDs according to the weight of the diamond to be measured and the temperature. 4. Start test diamond, no need to adjust the switch switch.Lower the needle sheath, hold the instrument, and the index finger of your right hand touches the conductive plate on the back cover of the instrument. Use the diamond discriminator probe to make 90-degree contact with the measured object, and observe the indicator light change.(It needs a little bit of force to stop it on the diamond surface and make full contact). 5. Carefully observe the instrument. If the rest of the light-emitting diodes reflect yellow, then when the light-emitting position moves to 9 diodes with a buzzing sound, this indicates that the test is a real diamond. Conversely, if there are nine diodes in a place with insufficient light, and there is no beep, then it means fake diamonds. If unsuccessful, please repeat the first step.[ Interpreting The Indication] : Diamonds: 1. Beeping sound(beep-beep-beep); 2. 1-4 pieces of the Red Lamp box of the Level Meter light on.(The bigger the size of the stoneis,themore pieces of the Red Lamp box of the Level Meter light up.) Diamond Simulants: 1. No Beeping sound. 2. No Red Lamps light on. Metal Alert: 1.Continuous buzzing sound. (The thermal conductivity of the metal is very high and can give the same indication as a Diamond with most Thermal Probes.The Diamound Selector II has a Metal Alert buzzer to warn you when the Probe tip touches metal.)
