Description: This digital Pressure gauge is custom-ordered for Microfluidizer with 316 stainless steel 1/4" HP male connection. The maximum pressure is 2000 bar (210 MPa or 30500 PSI) with 0.2% accuracy. Units in kg/cm2, MPa, and Bar. Built-in thermometer with temperature displayed in C. Never used in its original box. We ordered two for our Microfluidizer and this is the spare one we do not anticipate to use.The pressure transducer is right above the 1/4 HP male connection nut so there is almost zero dead volume between the liquid path and the sealed pressure transducer. The maximum Microfluidizer operation pressures are between 20,000 to 30,000 PSI. So, this digital gauge can be used for all microfluidizers or other high pressure homogenizers with 1/4" HP connection. The original microfluidizers used a mechanical pressure gauge with a C-shaped Bourdon tube. As the pressure reciprocates between zero to 20/25K PSI constantly during the run, the bourdon tube of the pressure gauge fails (leaks slowly and the air bubble in glycerol becomes smaller ) quickly. So, the best solution is to use a digital pressure gauge without moving parts. On the other hand, Microfluidics is happy to replace your broken mechanical pressure gauge for $1545 again and again. Note: the HP male nut is fixed with the gauge face. So, you may end up with the gauge not facing toward the front depending the type of Microfluidizer you have. Use a swivel gauge adapter if that happens.
