King Vidor, a pioneering filmmaker and auteur, directed 77 films over a 67-year Hollywood career including THE BIG PARADE (1925), THE CROWD (1928), THE CHAMP (1931), THE WEDDING NIGHT (1935), THE WIZARD OF OZ (Kansas scenes-1939), DUEL IN THE SUN (1946) and THE FOUNTAINHEAD (1949).
