Description: RedWing Shoes Women's Heritage Inez in Black Boundary (US size 5) - Style number 3415. Red wing Inez is a discontinued heeled boot that is a feminine version of the men's western style Pecos with a sweet 2.4" (60 mm) heel. This pair of heritage boots is constructed with a 270 goodyear welt and real, full leather stacked heel. Top is made of high quality full grain leather that is water resistant (you can pour water over it and the water beads up and drops away). The midsole and outsole are made of leather, too. The heel is made of real leather, which I recently learned that even Freebirds by Steven uses plastic covered by composite leather to emulate the look of a full stack leather heel. While it is the norm in women's fashion to cover plastic heels in composite leather to make it cheaper and lighter, the cheaper alternative is not only easy to damage and scratch, but it is also much less durable than a stack of real leather. The craftsmanship, high quality materials, and attention to detail needed to make this heritage boot are truly rare to find in women's fashion. Please note this was a display model, and please see the images for defects. New never worn, as it was tried on once and was too small for its intended wearer. It was purchased for someone who has brannock size 5 and wears a size US 6 in sneakers, but prefers looser fit shoes and boots. This pair would better fit someone who usually wears size 5 to 5.5. In terms of shoe sizing, the Inez is wider than the RedWing Harriet and RedWing Clara, with a more rounded, roomier toebox. I own a size 7.5 Inez that feels longer and wider than size 8 Harriet. For reference, my brannock sizes are 7 and 8 wide. For fellow wide feet ladies, Inez is more comfortable than Harriet, with Claras being the least comfortable. Inez is ready to wear immediately, Harriet requiring moderate walking to break in, and I've yet to break in Claras (which are by far the narrowest). Attached last photo to show the roomy toe box of Inez compared to Harriet. I sized down by 1/2 compared to size in Harriet, and I would recommend sizing down by 1/2 in Inez.
