Description: An utterly delicious vintage cocktail dress from the late 1950s! Good quality, nicely weighted gleaming rayon satin dress with warm golden yellow/orange on top and warmer, deeper bronze colored skirt. Deep v neck with faux wrap wrap front and large rosettes. ¾ length gusseted sleeves cut in one with bodice. A line skirt with deep pleats at each hip. Bodice is fully lined in cotton with another acetate lining At front. Skirt is lined in Pellon for stiffness. Long metal back zip. No designer label, just a Harzfeld’s Kansas City label so you know this dress is high end! Condition is fair-stitching at both shoulders is deteriorating down each seam and needs restitched, a fairly easy task. Front of dress has many dark spots stains with discoloration at front of skirt. Faint scrape marks at left shoulder. I think a dry cleaning would definitely improve the spots. Former theater inventory has heat seal barcode inside not seen when worn. 44” long 16.5” shoulder to waist 38” bust 29” waist 46” hips 18” shoulder to end of sleeve
