Description: For sale is a 45 RPM vinyl single from Doc Bagby titled "Dumplin's b/w Sylvia's Callin' ", originally released in 1957 by OKeh Records. I bought this used, professionally cleaned it on my VPI HW-17 machine and immediately put it into an archival inner sleeve, then into a storage box for seven inch 45 RPM vinyl records, that was kept under optimum conditions for both temperature and humidity until today. The replacement generic inner sleeve is graded as Excellent because of small wrinkles along the opening and some ink writing. In the dead wax between the labels and the last tracks is etched the matrix numbers 1-A/1-A, indicating that the first stampers were used to make this record. These are hallmarks of state-of-the-art engineering, sought after by collectors and music lovers for their superior sound qualities. The vinyl is visually graded as Excellent because of superficial sleeve marks, but still with surfaces that are shiny and bright, without any surface scratches or scuffs. I'm play grading this record between Excellent and Near Mint because of occasional super low levels surface noise. It plays all the way through without any pops, skips or lock-ups from start to finish. You would be hard pressed to find a copy of this record in this condition, especially a first pressing from 1957. This would be a welcome addition to anyone's collection.
