Description: Here I have for sale a collectible Everyman's Library edition of Dostoyevsky's Letters from the Underworld in hardcover with pictorial dust jacket, published in 1971. The is the Hogarth translation of what is often called Notes from the Underground. This volume also contains two other novellas or long short stories: The Gentle Maiden and The Landlady. The book is VG+ with clean blue boards and gilt. Tight binding and clean unmarked pages. The dust jacket with a great illustration designed by Charles Raymond, is VG with still bright colors. One or two tiny micro chips, moderate smudging and sunning of spine. It is not price-clipped and is protected in mylar.
