Description: Here I have for sale a nicely preserved, very collectible 2 volume edition of Dostoyevsky's The Brothers Karamazov published by Everyman's Library in hardcover with gorgeous pictorial dust jackets. This is the Constance Garnett translation with introduction by Edward Garnett. The dust jackets are designed by Aleksunder Werner. The volumes are in almost identical condition as shown by the pictures so I will describe them both at once. Vol. one was issued in 1960 and vol. two in 1957. The books are in VG++ condition with bright blue and red boards, bright gilt, tight bindings, clean, unmarked pages with a little edge wear. The dust jackets are VG with still bright blue colors. Moderate chipping and scuffing to corners, top and bottom of spines and front and rear panels. Vol.1 is a little more scuffed than vol. 2. Neither is price-clipped and both are protected in mylar. Thanks and see my other listings from Everyman's, Modern Library, Oxford World's Classics and Modern Firsts.
