Description: This is a really lovely Decorative Plate / Platter / Charger with Gold & White Color Dove and flowers on a blue background. This piece is all handmade, hand painted and Burnished in the pottery tradition called Barro bruñido by Daniel Aguilar Benitez. Daniel is a master potter and belongs to an august group of potters who call them selves Grupo Herencia Milenaria. They have a lovely museum on the outskirts of Tonala and are devoted to the conservation and promotion their ancestral tradition of the Tonaltecan Ceramic craft. It is signed on the bottom front by Daniel.This piece measures 9 1/2 inches across and 1 inch deep.There is a hole and loop on the back so it can be hung on a nail on the wall...This tile is a wonderful example of Mexican Folk art and Ceramic traditions from this area of Mexico.
