Description: David Perkins spearing decoys are highly collectible with their own unique personality, and this one has a great personality!!! The patriotic red, white and blue decoys originated around the time of Desert Storm. This 15.75" wooden DFD patriotic fish is in excellent condition (see photos: both rear fins have minor paint chips), has glass eyes and the lead belly weight stamped with "DFD", and a five hole line tie in the metal fin. Additionally, the decoy is featured on p. 96 in his book, David E. Perkins Duluth Fish Decoys by Richard and Raymond Bonin and is featured on the back cover with the authors. The "worn" spots and patina on the decoy are part of the original design. I apologize for any glare in the photos... DFDs have a sheen to them that is hard to avoid when taking pictures. See photos!
