Some examples would be; out of spec capacitors/resistors, bad controls, cold solder connections and incorrectly installed components by the previous owners. ALL of these things affect the performance of your unit and the sound you ultimately hear out of your speakers. This is a SERVICE upgrade your Dynaco preamp. Replace those 50+ year old out of spec parts and also problems caused by novice kit builders! Most of these units were assembled by audio enthusiast with novice technical skills. You also will not believe the difference in tonal quality once your unit has been restored. Your unit will receive a brand NEW fused power supply section (except for transformer) that eliminates the use of the 60 year old "can" capacitor, heater capacitors and unreliable selenium rectifier. This power supply is superior to the original unit and adds additional filter resulting in a quieter unit. Your rectifier tube will remain. All NEW audio grade capacitors will be installed throughout. Phono EQ and input will be moved to the phono board.One low level input for phono and Six high level inputs.Phono Ground Lug AddedYou have the option of removing the tone control circuit from the audio signal.
