The original 30+ year old sun and heat damaged center AC vents are brittle, most of them falling apart, missing pieces and have multiple cracks. It's a big eyesore! 1) The front face and the holding tab inserts have been re enforced to prevent cracking. New re designed tabs are strong enough to hold the vent securely in place but not as aggressive to prevent damage upon removal. The front face underwent surface treatment to precisely match the rest of factory trim. 2) The original light strip was insufficient and provided a very dim lighting. New vent has fully integrated LED lighting that connects into factory plug and provides beautiful illumination. 3) New potentiometer for air stratification feature is built in. Nothing needs to be transferred from the old vent, making it fully plug and play! All of the plastic components that make up this vent are precision injection molded, the center adjustment fin is cast from high grade steel. Nothing is 3D printed!
