Description: This listing is for the extremely rare USS Maui Inquiry class ship. The ship measures approximately 9 1/4" from the end of the nacelle to the tip of the primary hull, 4 1/3" across wide and 1 1/4" tall. This is listing two of two for one of the two Maui Inquiry Class Ships I have listed. Your USS Maui Inquiry class starship will arrive to you as pictured. The base for your ship is still sealed in its plastic. The base you see the ship pictured on is one from my personal collection. It will come with the original collectible box as well as the base and stand. It will be securely bubble wrapped to make its warp speed journey to your home. Per Wixiban*1, this fourth variant of the Inquiry-class was first seen in the Collector's Guide available at Destination Star Trek London between October 12th through the 14th 2021 and was first listed for sale in the UK online store two days later for ÂŁ44.99. It is likely that around 1,600 units were produced, the same as for the Varian Fry. Per Memory Beta*2, in the year 2399 the Inquiry-class battleship USS Zheng He and a squadron of its sister ships was sent to intervene at the planet Coppelius after retired Admiral Jean-Luc Picard made a priority request for Starfleet and Federation involvement. Zheng He led the fleet, commanded by Acting Captain William T. Riker. The Zheng He squadron deployed in order to protect the Coppelius inhabitants from a Romulan fleet under orders to exterminate them. The ships of the squadron featured two different warp nacelle designs. After Captain Riker made the squadron's intentions clear, the Romulan fleet withdrew. The Zheng He squadron also departed after Riker left the situation in the hands of Admiral Picard, who was in command of the hired starship La Sirena. (PIC episode: "Et in Arcadia Ego, Part II") The Maui was equipped with the alternative nacelles compared to the Zheng He. The Maui had rounded warp nacelles, like the USS Toussaint, whereas the nacelles of the Zheng He were pointed, as on the USS Varian Fry. The Bussard collectors of both the Maui and the Varian Fry shared the same red color. (Shipyards reference: Starfleet Ships 2294 - The Future) As Eaglemoss declared bankruptcy and is no longer in business, this collectable is EXTREMELY RARE, don't miss out on this gem. *1 https://www.wixiban.com/toys/eaglemoss-trek-universe.htm *2 https://memory-beta.fandom.com/wiki/USS_Maui SHIPPING If you wish to purchase shipping insurance on the item, you must contact me for the additional insurance cost before payment is submitted.
