Description: EAPG 1890s National Glass Findlay OH TEARDROP & EYEWINKER Pattern Antique Pedestal Oil Lamp w Chimney, Burner & Wick We are pleased to offer this lovely antique Early American Pattern Glass pedestal kerosene or oil lamp No 79D in the TEARDROP and EYEWINKER pattern with plain font (aka: Serrated Teardrop) manufactured by the National Glass Company (DG&L Works - Operated 1899-1901 )in Findlay, Ohio circa 1890s. This same lamp was also made with a plume font that was sometimes frosted. It stands 16-1/2" tall to the top of the chimney and 10" tall to the top of the collar. It measures 4-1/2" wide across its scalloped base. It is marked "No 2 Scovill Mfg Co Made in USA" on the brass wick wheel. The burner is marked "No 1 Queen Anne No 1" with number 22 embossed on the opposite side. This pressed glass lamp comes with chimney, burner and wick. The bottom edge has an internal ding that did not turn into a chip when hit (very minor) and a little nick under a projecting edge on the pedestal that you can feel with your finger; otherwise it is in very good condition for its age. The burner is on tight and might not be easy to remove. The interior of the font needs a little cleaning. The wheel moves the wick easily up and down. Just a lovely antique EAPG oil lamp that you are sure to want to add to your collection. Thanks for viewing our sale. If you have any questions, feel free to email. Good luck and happy Ebay shopping.
