Today, they are often collected as toy cake stands by children's glass collectors. Offered here is a U.S. Glass Co. pattern #15116 named "SOLAR" and also known as "FEATHER SWIRL." Depicting a scene of swirling flowers, this eight point scallop edge salver, introduced in 1908, is hard to find and highly collectable by toy, or children's glass, collectors. The piece stands just 3 inches in height with a 7.25 inch serving area and a 3.5 inch base. The glass has great clarity, is free of any staining, and has no signs of chips, flea bites, etc. You will be hard pressed to find a nicer example of this pattern, if you can find it at all.
