EARLY 19TH C. DAVENPORT PORCELAIN GILT DECORATED PLATTER / TRAY, c. 1830

Description: Welcome to Antiques & Moore! This listing is for a beautiful antique English Davenport Porcelain platter/tray with elaborate gilt decoration, c. 1830. This stunning platter is elaborately decorated with 24 K gilt decoration on a peach colored wide border. The rim has a molded, slightly scalloped design with gilt decoration. Measures 12 1/4" long and 9 1/2" wide. Weighs 1.11 pounds. This beautiful platter is in excellent Estate condition with no chips, cracks or repairs. The gilt decoration is in very good to excellent condition with only minimal signs of wear commensurate with age. Platter is marked with the red Davenport mark with a crown above "Davenport, Longport, Staffordshire" used from 1870-1886. Davenport porcelain has always been highly acclaimed for the quality of the porcelain as well as for their artistic designs. The platter has its original retail price tag on the bottom with a price of $825.00. This can be easily removed by the new owner.
