Early 19th Century French Empire Neoclassical Bronze Urn style 33" T

Description: Super beautiful American made lamp, that was originally intended for the upscale home furnishings market in the mid-20th century. This is a very high end Bronze Urn French Empire style lamp made in the USA in the mid-20th century (1950's - 1960's). The pewter gray with gold satin lining shade is a replacement shade and looks fantastic with this lamp but it is sold separately in another eBay ad, so go to my eBay store and see that shade and other shades that I am selling. You will get the lamp base, original harp and finial with this purchase. This lamp has a wood base with green felt on the bottom. There is no steel on this lamp. I put a magnet over the entire lamp base and nothing sticks. It is made of bronze or brass. It has a 3-way light socket which I tested with a 3 way light bulb and it works great. It is 33.5" tall to the top of the finial. It is 25" tall to the top of the socket. It sits on a 6" x 6" base. This is a heavy lamp at 9.5 pounds. Over the years the wood base of the lamp has developed a "Shabby Chic" look to it. If you don't care for the look (see photos of all 4 sides of wood base), you can sand it down a bit more and bring out more of the underlying red paint, which I believe was the original color of the base when it was manufactured or just refinish the base the color you need it to be. The lovely lampshade is 9.5" tall with a 14" diameter at the bottom of the shade. It is a silvery pewter color. At least that is how I see it. I am selling and shipping it separately.
