Description A beautiful Viennese Jugendtil / Secession period zoomorphic patinated cast bronze desk lamp 1910. The base in the form of a frog has a bronze ball on the head that turning it turns the light. The frog has on back a curved arm with adjustable lamp holder to provide direct light to a writing surface. It has a white opaline glass shade decorated with multicolor floral motif. Unmarked or signed. Measures: Total height: 13 inch or 33cm. Condition: Very good overall condition with expected wear. No damage identified. Professional cleaned. Some traces remained soiling concentrated to the recessed contours of the design. Some minor surface wear to the patina consistent with age and use. Rewired for normal use. The rotary turn on/off switch has been replaced, adapting the original bronze ball for normal use.
