Description: Up for bid is an antique brass travelling inkwell, as is. The piece is oval in profile, 1 7/8 inches long by 7/8 inch wide by 1 7/8 inches tall. It is hinged on one end and has a push-button catch at the other. It has a plain brass exterior. The lid has an opening with an old rubber gasket to accept the bottle mouth. The clear blown glass bottle appears to be original, though broken. There are no visible marks. Condition on the piece is fair. The bottle is broken at one corner near the hinge. The rubber gasket is dried out and cracked. There are a few small dings and normal wear as well. Regardless, an interesting old inkwell.
