Description: Fantastic early Gerstner model 042. I don’t really need to say much, the photos say it all. Excellent overall condition. Some of the felts aren’t super clean but most are nice enough. Original banana stickers on center drawer. Vintage Allegheny Airlines (1952-1979) sticker on the side. I believe the box is made pre WWII. It came with a 1942 GE employee magazine cover behind the rails near the mirror that I’m nearly positive had been there since the magazine was new. There was also an early 1950’s manual in the same location. I got it from the original owners neighbor who received it after he passed. The handle is in excellent, strong condition. The key is not present. The quarter seen oak is handsome with its well earned patina. The best box money can buy for the gentleman that likes nice things. These are great just for display and for housing collections. I put my tools in metal tool boxes but I love having these around because they look so damn good.
