Description: This Early Vietnam 60s US Army USGI USMC M1910 Cover & M1961 Canteen is in good, clean condition and each piece only shows modest signs of expected age and service. The M1910 Canteen Cover has an early contract stamp and production appears to have taken place in 1961. All snaps and hardware are clean and function exactly as you would expect. No rips, tears or holes can be found on the cover and it appears to have seen only light duty. These M1910 covers were produced at the same time as the modernized M1956 covers and were used by early US Advisors in Vietnam as well as the US Marine Corps. The M1961 Canteen is clean and dated 1965. It has a late 60s NBC black replacement cap. Expected signs of age and service are present. The Steel Canteen Cup is in good condition and was made by Ingersoll Products, who also is well known for producing M1 Helmets during Vietnam. Ingersoll produced items for the US Military in the late 60s and this is most likely when then this cup was made. The metal surfaces are clean however there is a mild dent near where the cup's handle attaches, it does not hamper function or storage of the canteen. Please examine the photographs carefully for the best description of contents and condition.
