Description: Early View of Boiler at Fort Barry California 1908 Point Bonita Quarry Description Photographer_________ Unknown Title: Boiler at Fort Barry, California Date: 1908 Medium: Developing Out Paper on Decorative Mount Size of Image: 4 5/8 x 6 1/2 inches Size of Mount: 7 1/2 x 9 1/8 inches Condition: Medium to rich tonal image, overall lightly aged/rubbed, some light bubbles where image mounting did not take, mount shows some light rubbing/soiling with rubbed edges/corners, penciled notation on verso. Other: Early view showing a group of men posed with a very large boiler identified on verso as, “Boiler at Fort Barry, Cal.” Most likely it is the coal fired, 650 hp steam boiler used to crush stone at the Point Bonita Quarry.
