The first map s that of the Town of East Hampton. This map shows the homesteads and farms with the owners named. The second map is that of the township of Chatham which includes the towns or villages of East Hampton, Middle Haddam, Lake Pocotopaug and Cobalt which shows the many homeowners and business owners. Some of the surnames which are clearly printed are Niles, Hill, Day, Markham, Barton, Clark, Strong and so many more that it's impossible to list! Also indicated on the map are schools, named streets, railroads and rivers/streams.
