Peter Fonda, who lived from 1940-2019, was an American actor, director, and screenwriter. Son of HENRY FONDA and brother of JANE FONDA, young Peter was born in NYC and grew up in a 'troubled household' with a domineering father. His mother, Frances Ford Seymour, committed suicide in a mental hospital when Peter was 10. Peter says both he and Jane had nightmare while their dad was serving in WW 2. Fonda wrote: "At an all-boy boarding school, some boys had the female roles in plays, and when we performed "The Pirates of Penzance," I played one of the fair maidens, much to my chagrin." He later wrote: "We headed to Rome in the summer of 1955, where Dad was to film "War and Peace." Dad took me to Tivoli fountains and to Villa Adriana and Hadrian's Wall. The family summered in Hyannis Port on Cape Cod in 1956 where I drank beer and wine and bedded lots of beautiful girls. Peter was a drop-dead handsome young stud who girls "fell for." He was a member of the counterculture of the 1960s and the star of the movie, EASY RIDER. The "Memoir" is a candid, vivid--- stunning autobiography of the Hollywood legend, from his growing up in the Fonda household, to his mother's suicide and its ultimate effect on the family, to his own wild Adventures -- and sordid misadventures -- with some of the world's best-known actors and icons. This memoir is a personal reflection and a deeply introspective look at one of the most talented and fascinating celebrities of our time. 498 pages. I offer combined shipping.
