Description: Beautiful EBEL 1911 Discovery panda dial on Barton leather 22mm chocolate Racing Horween leather band. This Swiss made wristwatch features an ETA Valjoux 7750 movement and is a COSC certified chronograph. The watch received a full service in June of 2021 by Ivan at Timepiece Masterworks. Additionally Ivan modified the lugs to accept traditional watch bands because the stock watch only accepts EBEL straps and I wanted a larger selection than was offered. Lugs were NOT through-drilled. Lug holes are only visible when no strap is installed. EBEL straps still attach in the factory configuration. This wristwatch also ships with an EBEL rubber deployment strap. Receipt for work is included. There are minor scratches on the case back. Otherwise, this wristwatch is in great shape. No papers. I'm selling because I do a lot of manual work and I'm afraid of scratching it, so I never wear it. The 1911 line has been around since 1986 and features a 43mm case of beautifully brushed-finish stainless steel. The crown is signed and screws down smoothly with four turns-to-lock. The case is 14.2mm thick, with 22mm lugs. The 1911 chronograph is factory rated at 100 meters of water resistance. A flat sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating on both sides covers the dial and gives an incredibly clear view of the dial in all lighting conditions. The subdial set up is standard Valjoux 7750. The subdial at 12 is the chronograph minute counter, the subdial at 6 is the 12-hour chronograph totalizer and the subdial at 9 is the main watch seconds hand. One EBEL trademark is the use of real, exposed screw heads in the design of the wristwatch. A quickset day and date display is located at 3. An aluminum bezel with black tachymeter insert surrounds the crystal. The niche watchmaker, EBEL, has been making Swiss timepieces for over 100 years, the name being an acronym of the founder’s names of Eugene Blum and his wife, Alice Levy - Eugene Blum Et Levy.
