EC Adams Calyx Ware Metz Floral Design Teacup & Saucer

Description: This listing is for a cup and saucer that is backstamped Adams Calyx Ware and is in the Metz pattern. The field color of the is an icy blue or light mint color. It is decorated with pink flowers and has a raspberry color leaf pattern for the edge design. A mustard stripe runs along the outside of the saucer and the rim of the teacup. The saucer is octagon shaped. This antique piece is in wonderful condition, especially noting its age. The back is marked, “Estabd 1657, Adams, England, Calyx Ware.” There also is a stamp in the underside of the saucer that notes, “6 39”. The underside of the cup is similarly marked. The backstamps are strong and notable. There are no chips, cracks, crazing or repairs to this item.
