Scherer Estimated delivery 3-12 business days Format Hardcover Condition Brand New Description This book includes the latest developments regarding emerging BIM technologies and their adoption in the AEC/FM industry, and aims at professionals and engineers working or interested in these areas. Publisher Description ECPPM 2022 - eWork and eBusiness in Architecture, Engineering and Construction contains the papers presented at the 14th European Conference on Product & Process Modelling (ECPPM 2022, Trondheim, Norway, 14-16 September 2022), and builds on a long-standing history of excellence in product and process modelling in the construction industry, which is currently known as Building Information Modelling (BIM). The following topics and applications are given special attention:Sustainable and Circular Driven Digitalisation: Data Driven Design and/or Decision Support Assessment and Documentation of Sustainability Information lifecycleData Management: Collection, Processing and Presentation of Environmental Product Documentation (EPD) and Product Data Templates (PDT)Digital Enabled Collaboration: Integrated and Multi-Disciplinary ProcessesVirtual Design and Construction (VDC): Production Metrics, Integrated Concurrent Engineering, Lean Construction and Information IntegrationAutomation of Processes: Automation of Design and Engineering Processes, Parametric Modelling and Robotic Process AutomationExpert Systems: BIM based model and compliance checkingEnabling Technologies: Machine Learning, Big Data, Artificial and Augmented Intelligence, Digital Twins, Semantic Technology Sensors and IoT Production with Autonomous Machinery, Robotics and Combinations of Existing and New Technical SolutionsFrameworks for Implementation: International Information Management Series (ISO 19650), and Other International Standards (ISO), European (CEN) and National Standards, Digital Platforms and EcosystemsHuman Factors in Digital Application: Digital Innovation, Economy of Digitalisation, Client, Organisational, Team and/or Individual PerspectivesOver the past 25 years, the biennial ECPPM conference proceedings series has provided researchers and practitioners with a unique platform to present and discuss the latest developments regarding emerging BIM technologies and complementary issues for their adoption in the AEC/FM industry. Author Biography 1. Prof. Eilif Hjelseth is a Professor at the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering, Faculty of Engineering at Norwegian University of Science and Technology, Adjunct Professor at Department of Engineering Sciences, University in Agder, and Adjunct Associate Professor in legal informatics at the Faculty of Law, University in Oslo. At NTNU he has developed multiple BIM related courses at bachelors, masters and PhD-level. He has written over 100 scientific publications. He is author of textbook "BIM! Program and Process", used at a number of universities in Norway. He is coordinator for the large-scale VDC professional course (200 students) at NTNU in collaboration with Stanford Centre for Professional Development. He is the head of the digitalisation team in the industry organisation Project Norway, and member of the buildingSMART Norway board. He has various experiences from the industry; software development in Selvaag Bluethink (technology), international and national BIM-standardisation at Standards Norway and experience from the development and digitalisation of public regulations at the Norwegian Building Authority (processes). After serving time in industry, his focus shifted to competency building in academia (people). Sustainability and circularity are his highest priority for future work. This requires information from multiple sources to be processed in a trustworthy and documented manner whilst being presented in an understandable way adapted to each users need.2. Dr. Sujesh F. Sujan is a Research Partner at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology and an Information Manager with global consulting firm, Mott MacDonald. Additionally, he is a Visiting Lecturer at University of Liverpool and University of Salford as part of the Digital Transformation and Construction Management courses. He graduated from University of Liverpool in 2019 with a PhD under the supervision of Prof. Arto Kiviniemi, Dr. Steve Jones and Prof. Jacqueline Wheatcroft. His research focus is primarily on the implementation of digitalisation for various purposes across the asset lifecycle. For example, from the industry, organisation, change management perspectives to enable integration of people, process and technology. He is particularly interested in research projects with a people focus when it comes to adopting digital technologies; his PhD involved the application of social scientific methods and psychology theory to study the collaborative project digitalisation context. As part of his PhD, he won the best student paper award at ECPPM 2016 in Copenhagen. He is a certified Project Manager and Information Manager with experience in the implementation of ISO 19650 standards in the UK industry. His priority for future research is in the implementation of digital technology to enable circularity and sustainability, integration of model-centric and product-centric approaches to digitalisation, balancing people with process and technology when adopting digital solutions. He focuses on facilitating collaboration between industry and academia to maximise research impact. 3. Prof. Dr.-lng. Raimar J. Scherer is Senior Professor at the Institute of Construction Informatics at the Technical University Dresden. He headed the Institute in 1994-2017. He has more than 35 years of experience in construction lCT, including 7 years as fulI Professor for CAD/CAM and structural reliability at the University of Karlsruhe and several years of practice in the construction industry including ICT consultancy and a one-year residency with a world leading CAD provider. His research activities include the broad spectrum of construction ICT aspects, like linked data and multimodels, ontology modelling and description logic, information filtering and model views, simulation based system and damage identification, digital twins, bimification and simulation. He has been involved in more than 25 related EU and 20 German ICT research projects, of which he coordinated 16. He is a member of the multimodel and linked data standardisation group of ISO 21597, the IFC group of ISO 16739 and was been member and vice chairperson of the building product model group in ISO 10303 from 1988 to 1999, the forerunner of IFC. ln 1994 he founded the first European BIM conference, the ECPPM. ln 1999 his group implemented the first BIM Server in Europe, based on the later standardized IFC building core model. He was founder and vice chairperson of the IFC-ST4 structural model group. He developed the simplified MVD/IDM method in 2012 and the multimodel method in 2014. In 2014 he received the ZUSE Medal, the annual highest Award for informatics in Germany. In 2014 he published a book on Information Management Systems in Construction, where the multimodel was introduced in a consolidated way and embedded in ontology and process based collaborative working in common data environments. He was awarded Honourary Chairman at ECPPM 2022.
