Description: Outstanding pen sketches by renowned western artist Edward Borein (1872 - 1945). A friend of fellow western artist Charles Russell, Borein’s fluid depiction of horses in motion gave him an unmistakable style, as shown here. The sheet measures 8 1/2” x 14” and is in good condition with some minor discoloration and wrinkling to the tissue like paper (Brother Jonathan watermark). Like many Borein drawings, this example is unsigned. It was purchased by a previous owner in the 1960’s from Dawson’s Book Shop in Los Angeles.
