Description: The print offered here is part of a series of 13 prints depicting Spanish bull fighting and published by Edward Orme in 1813. The printmakers/artists were likely Matthew Dubourg and John Heaviside Clark although there is no attribution to them on the print. However, Orme used them extensively during this time period. This aquatint is No. 5 in the series and shows a picadores's horse apparently being gored by the bull while the matador and various assistants attempt, probably unsuccessfully, to distract it. This print is from my personal collection which I am beginning to sell off. Unless noted otherwise in the description, the prints, art and other items that I sell are not "reproductions". For example, offered maps are of the period. Please check my other listings for additional items of interest. I will combine shipping.
