The stem is sliced thin and soaked in water, pressed together and dried, forming a quite durable paper. The designs are taken from royal tombs and temples found throughout Egypt. I have several of these prints in several different sizes listed, they are new / old stock from 1986. They are protected with vacuum sealed plastic bags to control humidity ( not shown in images for presentation reason). The print, paper, colors, and entire portrait is in excellent condition.
