Description: I purchased this signed Eleanor Roosevelt FDR 1945 First Day of Issue cover in an estate collection auction of covers from the 1930s and 1940s, in the Washington, DC area. The cover reads Franklin Delano Roosevelt Lived at the White House 1932 . . . 1945s. It is signed below that by Eleanor Roosevelt. It has a cancelled Roosevelt 3 cent stamp and is dated June 27,1945; postmarked Washington, DC. An astute eBay member emailed me that the addressee, Master John Boettiger, is the grandson of Eleanor and FDR. Condition: The envelope is yellowed with age, there is a very small area of wear on the top right corner, light wrinkles left side, and tiny black ink spots on the back. Please also refer to the photos. Shipping: I will ship in a 4-1/8" by 9-1/2" envelope, surrounded by cardboard, wrapped in large cushion bubble wrap, in a clean recycled box. Thanks for looking.
