The Distillate series is said to have been developed for Japanese customers by Alembic, a company that is very popular for its high-end bass. It was made in 1981 from the serial number on the last fret. The unique double-cutaway body wing with large rounded corners has a zebra wood top/mahogany back structure, the neck is a 5-piece hard rock maple/purple heart, and the fingerboard is made of very smooth ebony. The neck has a neck-through structure, and the head is made of multiple layers of different woods laminated, and zebra wood is pasted on the top and back to ensure consistency with the top of the body. Brass is used for the brass nut, carved brass bridge/saddle/tailpiece, and even the neck end plate. While taking advantage of the acoustic/tone quality characteristics such as high vibration efficiency, the dull luster unique to brass gives the entire instrument a luxurious feel. Also, since this instrument was made in 1981, the Schaller pegs on it are engraved with "Made in W.Germany", which is a must-see. The control section has been replaced extensively. Since replacement parts for the broken board were difficult to obtain, we decided that restoring the original was impossible, so we rebuilt a new control section, including the entire plate. The plate has been reproduced with gold plastic without spoiling the original atmosphere. The clear surface has a weather check throughout, giving it a nice vintage feel. The frets have been played a lot by the previous owner, but there is no sound jam, and in a good sense, it is in excellent player's condition. The removed control brass plate, circuit board, switch, pot, knob, and grounding copper plate are included. It will be shipped in the soft case shown in the image. Alembic is an ever-popular item.
