The play mat has space for the board resources making it both practical and great-looking on the table. During setup, players will place the 37 Atlantean island tiles on the center of the mat. While playing, whenever the island floods, players can remove the island tiles instead of flipping them over. This helps create the experience that Atlantis is disappearing right before your eyes.
