Description: ELGIN AMERICAN HAND PAINTED ON ENAMEL AND GOLD PLATE COMPACT This vintage compact features an ivory white background with a wedding day motif. Featured here are "his and hers" bluebirds, wedding bells, flowers and ribbons on the front cover. The back cover is plain ivory white. The interior has a button to open the powder chamber, separating a powder puff from the actual makeup. It does not come with the powder puff. The compact is trimmed in gold colored metal in very good condition which could be gold plate but no assurance. It is in very good condition considering the age and use. There is a chip on the paint on the front cover due to age. This Elgin American is 3 3/8" by 2 7/8". It's something old and something blue! We pack with care for safe delivery.
