Description: Here is a parcel of 4 fossil specimens dating back to the mid Cambrian time period, some half a billion years ago! They were dug at A New Dig Fossil Quarry in the Wheeler Shale Formation of western Utah. This parcel includes one perfect, complete jewellery grade elrathia kingii trilobite, thick and black, with cheeks, that measures 15mm by 12mm on a grey shale matrix rock that measures about 3 inches by 1inch, and also on the rock is a microscopic complete elrathia kingii (therefore two complete trilobites are on one rock). Another specimen bears an elrathia kingii that is molting, as is has lost one cheek, measuring 13mm by 10mm, on a triangular matrix measuring about 3 by 2 inches. One elrathia kingii trilobite molt, 16mm by 11mm, has a small but on the ribs, on the upper left side, on a piece of grey shale about 3 inches long by 1.5 inches. And lastly, a paranopsis trilobite, 9 by 5mm, on a small piece of grey shale , about 2.5inches by 1.5inches. Photos are not in order. This is a nice small parcel of a variety of interesting trilobite fossil specimens and is perfect for educational purposes and unique fossil collections.
