It is cost prohibitive to ship a frame with glass that is this large. It is mounted on a thin board with a heavier board behind it. No stains. I can't begin to describe the beautiful hand work in this piece. My idea for it is to use the piece to be a centerpiece for a large bed covering. To test if it were glued on the front, I took a straight pin and close to the embroidery I lifted the cloth. I did this in many places on the front.
