Description: EMO Champion Nickle Silver Trumpet 1952 - Reconditioned - Original Case & Mouthpiece Bore: .452 - Serial# 3** This is my first EMO Champion model and it was well taken care of. Horn shows wear in the hand hold area with nickle silver plating wear, overall she really looks nice! Compression is excellent, valves feel great, slides are all smooth and firm, and caps thread easily. Bell taper has been work on in the past, flair is excellent and the core is very clean. Original case is solid and the original mouthpiece is included. Considering the serial number, I'm guessing 1952 since the Armstrong horn from 52 was in the 200's, perhaps 1953 for production year. Vintage cases are all disinfected, cleaned and sanitized but there may be a residual horn smell in any old case. Clean your instrument regularly (especially lead-pipe and tuning slide) and have a chem-clean or ultrasonic clean done every two years.
