Empoli Murano Glass Bottle Decanter Venetian Style Optic Swirl Opalescent 15"

Description: Gorgeous Italian hand-blown bottle decanter in a translucent white opalescent glass. The decanter has an optic swirl which is carried over to the stopper. The glass is a wonderful milky bluish white but with plenty of fire when held up to the light. The stopper was mold blown. I don't know the exact origin of the decanter, but it could either be from Murano or the Empoli region. I also don't know the exact age, but the decanter is mid-century in style. This piece came from my mother's collection, and she has had it for at least 40 years. Condition: Very good vintage condition. Some wear primarily on the bottom, and there is one fleabite on the rim which is about 1 to 1.5 mm in width. There are a few dark marks on the neck of the decanter which may be removable, there is a small dark mark just under the pattern on the stopper which looks like it may be an inclusion. The mold seam on the edge of stopper lip is somewhat rough. The lip on the decanter is somewhat uneven.
