Normal handling wear for a 38 year old violin, has a nice patina. Some scratches and dings, but nothing too bad. No cracks. Solid carved spruce top, and solid carved two pieced flamed maple back, sides and neck. Ebony fingerboard, chin rest, inlaid purfling, and tailpiece with E fine tuner. Adjustable screw Caspari pegs, makes it easy to tune and stay in tune. Custom fitted hard maple bridge, and the action is low.Set up, and ready to play with Red Label Super-Sensitive Orchestra strings. ($18 value)Has a strong, balanced and direct tone.
