Description: The humble poncho liner, or "woobie", has been beloved by service members for generations. It's been said that the woobie is the best piece of military technology ever fielded and it has earned a revered, almost divine status in US Military Culture, even into the present. The first synthetic quilted poncho liners were issued during the Vietnam War, initially to Special Forces, who valued the woobies' light weight, ability to insulate even when wet and pack into a small area, saving previous space on their gear. These poncho liners were later issued to all personnel in the field. The woobies in this listing are both 1968 dated and in excellent condition. They were issued and used, but not horribly abused. The unique large tag is still clearly readable, and unlike the 1970 liners they have a bright, darker ERDL camo print. These have some amount of wear and tear, and might be missing ties, but are otherwise perfectly useable. Like all my other poncho liner listings, this is also missing stitching at random in the middle. All ties should be present. No serious rips, holes, or tears otherwise, just a little minor storage wear. Please see my other listings for more awesome militaria items from all modern eras.
