Eric Johnson Fender Stratocaster Wiring Harness 300k CTS Pot .1uf Cap 5 Way

Description: I am honored to have recently found out that Eric Johnson's guitar tech has been installing my EJ harnesses on his personal Strats. Mr. Johnson has played on a few of the guitars and has given them his approval. I have been a fan of Eric's playing and tone for many years. Seymour introduced me to him at a Jimi Hendrix Experience show some years back. Can't say enough nice things about Eric, his crew, his beautiful playing and incredible tone. What is it? Hand-wired Eric Johnson stratocaster wiring harness upgrade for American or Mexican Fender Stratocasters. The Eric Johnson wiring has 3 main differences when compared to modern Strat wiring. -The .1uf capacitor affects a wider sweep on the the high and mid frequencies. When the tone is all the way up on 10 you will notice the sound is a little warmer and with slightly rounded off highs. When the tone is almost all the way rolled back it produces a warm, creamy, fuzzy tone. The .1uf cap was originally used in old teles to try to emulate the tone of a bass guitar. Fender started using them in some strats in the mid 50's through most of the 60's. -The 300k volume pot is slightly brighter than a 250k. This helps balance and bring back some of the highs that are naturally lost by using the .1uf cap. -The middle tone controls the neck pickup and the bottom tone controls the bridge. There is no tone control for the middle pickup. Hand wired with the highest quality parts and cleanest solder connections from a professional guitar tech.
