The artist has a wonderful technique and fantastic sense of color!Ernesto Zepeda is a listed, Honduran born, painter and sculptor primarily known for his portraits of of native peoples. He studied sculpture at the School of Fine Arts in Tegucigalpa under renowned Mexican sculptor Mario Zamora. He later studied at the Art Institute of Chicago and studied with Alexander Chidichimo. His work is associated with the Southwest Artists Group and the Taos School. He lived in Sedona and Santa Fe, NM. He exhibited widely in galleries throughout America including Chicago, New York and venues in Central and South America, Europe and Canada. Hia work is represented in the collection of the Koshare Indian Museum in La Junta, CO.
