TRUCK SHIP ONLY All truck shipments are set for call for appointments. Please provide a correct phone number for the freight carrier to contact you for delivery. Someone will need to be present for all truck shipments to make sure the goods are delivered free from damage and not missing any boxes or pallets listed on the bill of lading. Please make sure to inspect the packaging and products thoroughly BEFORE signing for the shipment. The carriers must allow you 15 minutes for inspection. If they do not, or if you see any damage or too few number of boxes or pallets based on the quantity on the bill of lading, REFUSE the shipment, and ask the driver to return the item(s) back to our warehouse. Contact us right away to let us know that you refused the shipment due to damage or shortage. If you sign for the shipment, and there is damage or missing product(s) based on the count provided on the bill of lading, the trucking company will not honor a claim after the fact and we will not be able to accept the product back, ship a replacement, or issue a refund. Thank you, Returns are accepted only if the item is defective or damaged in shipping. Any electronic scanners and other electronic equipment once opened, used, uploaded, or registered in any way cannot be returned for a refund. Shipping damages will require a shipping damage claim before a new item is shipped to the customer. It is the responsibility of the customer when signing for deliveries to make sure the product is free from visible damage prior to signing. Any damage or shortage must be noted in writing with the freight carrier before accepting shipment. If possible, customer should keep a copy of the noted damage or shortage for his/her records. If the damage is excessive the customer can refuse the shipment. Otherwise, National Tool Warehouse customer service will assist the customer in filing the freight claim for reimbursement from the carrier but any possible loss will be incurred by the customer. Defective items will have to be returned prior to a new item being shipped. All defects are handled according to the manufacturers return policy. Before returning a defective product, you must contact Customer Service by e-mail in order to receive an RGA Returned Goods Authorization form. That form is your approval to ship the product back to the address given on the bottom right-hand corner of the form. Shipping to the corporate office in Missouri or any unauthorized address outside that address given on the RGA form could result in a lesser credit being issued.
