Description: DESCRIPTION - An original limited edition 2/25 coloured aquatint etching of the palm trees on the Isle of Tresco, Scilly Isles. Handmade, numbered and signed in pencil by the popular listed Newlyn artist Ian Laurie (1933-). . Ian Laurie was born in 1933, he is a self-taught etcher and painter. He moved from industry to artistry in the 70s and 80s and his work was distributed in Liberty and the Medici Gallery, both in London, during this time. He and his wife opened a small studio gallery in Newlyn, Cornwall. In 1989 he exhibited in Penzance and the work was well received. His paintings were also selected to hang in the ‘Laing’ Art Exhibition in Bristol Cathedral in1993 and 1994. More recently his paintings have been shown in exhibitions of the Penzance Society of Artists. Professionally framed and glazed in a cream mount and pale blue wooden frame. Photographed in natural daylight with no digital enhancements. APPROX SIZE of visible image 5" x 4.25" and 10" x 8.5" including mount and frame. CONDITION - In excellent clean condition with minor marks to frame - please see photos to satisfy yourself as to condition as they form part of the description. I do my best to describe all faults but am not infallible so please do not make a purchase unless you are totally happy regarding the condition. .
