Originally starting out with paired EQ1, EQ2 and EQ3 systems offering revolutionary venting, internal dampening and resonance control - these heads quickly became the go to for the best bass drum sounds imaginable. Evans EQ3 series features two plies of 6.5mil film and provides a controlled low-end rumble and focused attack. Its articulation and endurance make the EQ3 especially suitable for live playing and will not distort under heavy hitting. The frosted surface provides a warmer tone. Made with 6.5 mil inner ply and a 6.5 mil outer ply. Internal Overtone Control Ring. Removable Muffle Ring.
