Description: This is a rare January 12th, 1948 "Playtime" playbill from the one-week, National Tour engagement of the SIGMUND ROMBERG and DOROTHY DONNELLY musical play "BLOSSOM TIME" at the Boston Opera House in Boston, Massachusetts. (The Original Broadway production opened September 29th, 1921 at New York's Ambassador Theatre and ran for 516 performances. The last revival opened September 4th, 1943 at the Ambassador Theatre in New York City and ran for only 47 performances before mounting an ambitious tour.) ..... Using the melodies of FRANZ SCHUBERT, the musical starred EVERETT MARSHALL as "Franz Schubert" and featured ZELLA RUSSELL as Mrs. Krantz", HARRY K. MORTON as "Novotny", MARIAN STEVENS as "Mitzi Kranz", ELIZABETH HOUSTON as "La Bellabruna", HAROLD R. BROWN as "Baron Franz Schober" and TONY BLAIR as "Christian Kranz". The cast also included THOMAS EDWARDS, EDWARD M. EDWARDS, JOE TONER, WILLIAM VALENTINE, PAT BOYER,ROSALIE LYNN, HAL PERSONS, JOHN O'NEILL, BETTI DAVIS, PAMELA DOW, DOROTHY HIRTH, GERALDINE DELANEY, MARILYN HOFFMAN and TONI CARROLL .....
