Excellent 1986 Original Bolivia Watercolor Painting Old Cusco Cityscape by Dante

Description: DESCRIPTION: Very beautiful original watercolor painting of a cobblestone street and Colonial Era buildings in the old section of Cusco, Bolivia. It is signed by the artist Dante, title Cusco, and dated '86' in the lower right corner. The painting depicts a wonderful street scene in the old town of Cusco. There are a group of ladies in hats and ponchos huddled on the street in the lower left, another person on a balcony near the center of the painting, and a couple more people climbing some stairs at the end of the street. A church tower peeks above the buildings in the background, with trees and hills beyond. I love the interplay of the sun and shadows on the balcony and adobe walls of the old buildings on the right. The painting is done on paper and measures 9 x 12". It was found matted, but in my opinion the mat covers too much of the painting, as well as the signature. I removed the mat for most of the pictures but will reattach it and include it when I ship. The mat measures 11 x 14" and the opening is 7 1/2" by 9 1/2". Last picture shows painting matted.
