Description: Excelsior Plaiter 1876 Sewing Pleater with Instructions Wood Antique . The Excelsior Prize Medal Plaiter (pleater) was patented in 2/26/1876, The pleater board has two rows of 63 hooks for the pleating material. Paper instructions on reverse provide guidance on box plaits, diagonal point, fluting, double box plaits, French quilting, and Parisian pleating. Paper is aged and brittle, with a few bits missing. A very interesting sewing collectible! Dimensions: 14 1/2" x 9" x 1 1/4" Condition: wood is good. As mentioned, label has some loss and discoloration, but adhesion is good and no current on-going loss. Always happy to pass through discounts on combined shipping.
